Radley Press Event for A/W 2013

Yesterday, Radley Collector was thrilled to attend the ‘by invite only’ Radley Autumn / Winter 2013 Press Preview in Covent Garden.

Radley Collector was very excited to be attending this event. It is the first event we have been invited to and we were not disappointed. The Radley Team welcomed us and took the time to show us this snippet look at the A/W collection.

Collectors be prepared, Radley have some beautiful designs to add to your collections !

Radley Parklife

We were first greeted by a stunning new collection created by Radley in collaboration with Emma Cowlam. Radley have collaborated with two young designers to create original and exclusive capsule collections for 2013. Both designers have created illustrations celebrating London and its heritage.

Emma Cowlam’s range is called Park Life . Emma combines her drawings with a stitching onto paper technique and then screen prints it to give this artistic and unique effect.

We will be releasing an interview with Emma and looking at the designs in detail near release day.

Radley The Streets Of London

We moved onto the next range and wow was our first impression. William Grill greeted us. A young artist who graduated from the University of Falmouth in 2012. William was sat drawing as we looked at this new range. As we stood there looking at the new products William continued to draw small designs. watching him work was inspirational. His designs tell the story of London. He explained to us to get inspiration he would sit or walk around London with his sketch book looking for people and scenes to give him ideas for designs.

Key bag styles for A/W 2013

For Autumn / Winter 2013 Radley have reintroduced the dome top bag shape. This is a key style. Many other bag companies have copied Radley’s trend with these styles in the past.

Radley Collector Says:

We couldn’t have been more happy than to visit the preview for Radley’s 2013 A/W collection. Radley Collector had a brilliant time and can’t wait for these new designs, colours and styles to start being released. Look out for our interviews with the young designers Radley have collaborated with and look out for product guides on the individual products on release dates.
Having the chance to voice the opinion of the fans to Radley in person was an amazing experience. We told Radley what the fans tell us and they listened. We had a fantastic time and are so grateful to Radley for giving us this opportunity to cover this event.

Hot tips for A/W13 at Radley –

Look out for spice orange and peacock greens.  Keep an eye out for two key bag styles created by Harris Tweed with bespoke tweed for Radley, and the young designers who created Park Life and The Streets Of London.
